1. CertainTeed
All CertainTeed shingles carry standard SureStart protection which fully covers your shingles in the event of a manufacturing defect during the early years following installation.
In order to qualify for SureStart PLUS extended warranty coverage, the roof system must be installed by a contractor with an up-to-date ShingleMaster™ or SELECT ShingleMaster™ credential, and must meet the Integrity Roof System™ requirements. ShingleMasters can sell 3-STAR and 4-STAR Coverage – SELECT ShingleMasters can sell all three levels of coverage. SureStart PLUS extends the standard SureStart protection provided by the warranty in force on the date the shingles were purchased.
Once the SureStart period ends, typically after 10 years, you are covered for shingles only and at a reduced rate as the roof ages.
When a CertainTeed Integrity Roof System™ is installed, your CertainTeed Credentialed Contractor is exclusively authorized to offer you SureStart PLUS, which takes traditional SureStart protection and extends coverage for up to 50 years, depending on the level of protection selected. That means, in the event of a manufacturing defect, you are fully covered.

Building products begin to age as soon as they are exposed to nature. Buildings experience aging factors differently, so it is difficult to predict how long building products will last. That’s why TAMKO provides a limited warranty for many products, that includes a binding arbitration clause and other terms and conditions. The limited warranty provides an established manufacturer remedy for eligible consumers in the unlikely event the product has a manufacturing defect. Limited warranties notify consumers of conditions, restrictions, and exclusions of coverage under the limited warranty.
TAMKO offers Standard Limited Warranties and Enhanced Limited Warranties.
TAMKO enhanced limited warranties are eligible exclusively on qualifying installations that meet specific requirements, including but not limited to:
Properly installed by a current TAMKO Certified Contractor, eligible to offer that specific warranty type
Full tear off or all new roofing installations over all roof planes of the building only
TAMKO® product(s) installed are part of the list of eligible TAMKO® shingles and accessories
Timely completion and delivery to TAMKO of all required TAMKO documents and forms
Enhanced limited warranty must be registered by the installing TAMKO Certified Contractor with TAMKO within 90 days of installation
TAMKO’s enhanced limited warranties provide extended Full Start™ non-prorated warranty periods on qualifying installations.
3 GAF
GAF enhanced warranties are only available through GAF certified roofing contractors. GAF Certified Contractors can offer the System Plus Limited Warranty.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Installation of GAF Shingles + At Least 3 Qualifying Accessory Products
- Installed by GAF Certified or Master Elite Roofing Contractor
Warranty Term for GAF Shingles:
- Lifetime
Algae Warranty Term:
- 10 Years for StainGuard-Labeled Shingles
- 25 Years for StainGuard Plus-Labeled Shingles and Ridge Cap Shingles
- 30 Years for StainGuard Plus PRO™-Labeled Shingles
Wind Warranty Term:
- 15 years
Maximum Wind Speed Coverage:
- Non-LayerLock-labeled shingles: 130 mph with Special Installation

Workmanship Warranty
We offer a standard 3 year workmanship warranty for both the blacksmith and knight level packages. For the marquis package, we offer a 5 year workmanship warranty. These warranties protect the customer from roofing issues not caused by storms. In the event of a potential workmanship issue, a free inspection will be provided to determine the origins. If it is determined that the origin is of a workmanship issue, it will be fixed at no charge to the customer. This workmanship warranty applies to full roof replacements only.
Repairs carry a one year workmanship warranty.
